Changing button images

Post by d_hero » Wed Jan 22, 2014 1:36 pm

Is it possible to change the image and highlight image of all the buttons on a page (or all the buttons selected) at the same time? Right now I have 3 pages each with about 20 buttons on, and I need to change them all to the same image (a generic image that I will overlay text on), but so far ive had to click each button, change the image, then change the highlight image separately, it takes ages! Also, when writing text on to a button, everytime I go to another button, the custom colour that I chose for the previous button gets reset so i have to modify the colour and put the RGB values in manually each time. There must be a way to save that colour and make it default? Am i missing something?

Finally, would appreciate if anyone has any input to what i posted here: http://www.demopad.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=4311 even to say its not possible, id just like to know.

Thanks a lot

why not just replace the image of the old button with the new button?

most of my buttons are individual, so they use a different image file for each. What you are implying is that if I use a single generic button image for each button, where I then overlay text, i could just change the actual image file in the project folder and each button would be updated. Well you are correct, except that previously, ALL my buttons used different images, so I would not be able to just replace a single image file in the folder, as that might only affect one button.

As it is, I have done it now the long way, and have indeed moved from individual images for each button to a generic image for buttons such as a keypad. Some buttons, where i cannot just use a generic image because there needs to be a graphic or something like that on the button, ive had to use individual images so if i ever change these again, ill have to do it the long way.

You point is valid though, had my project been set up differently, i could have done it that way
