I have read everything I can here and I have done everything mentioned in 'XBMC IP Commands' yet I still cant get any responce from Demopad/xbmc.
If I could get just one button to do one thing I would be happy!

Have you enabled external control in XBMC.
Some of the commands don't work, but most do.

I am having the same problem, I am using an app on the ipad called constellation which works ok controlling XBMC. But I am having no joy with IP in Demopad. Have got JSON RPC working but not IP.

Try checking the box 'disconnect after each command' for the device...though if you have the JSON commands working, why not just use those?

The JSON commands are only an incomplete set, work in progress I think. Will try the suggestion.
