Hi
Ive been hunting for an AMP with no frills but just to do the basics
min 6.1 - 7.2 channels
aprox 100watts per channel
IP controllable via wired network
at least 4x Optical inputs
dont need any DSP, HDMI switching, radio etc
any direction to try?
can anyone recomend a 7.1 IP controlable cinema AMP?

I use a Yamaha RX-V671 - IP control and 2-way volume feedback is fine through DemoPad, but be aware it only accepts 1 client connection at once.
not sure if it has 4 optical inputs though

Thanks! Looks very nice and with volume feedback
What did you mean by " but be aware it only accepts 1 client connection at once." please?
I'm a little new to all this

The IP connection on that amp is single-client only, so if you have 2 or more iPads trying to communicate with the amp at the same time, only 1 of them will work. If you are just sending commands to the amp, this is fine, as there is a 'disconnect after each command' option in the software, but if you want feedback, then the connection needs to be constant, and the connected iPad will block any others from sending/receiving.
