I tested the Wake on lan code like in this tutorial.
http://www.demopad.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=31

The command takes time to work.
It's a delay of 1-5 minutes until my HTPC turns on. :(

I replaced my mac Adress to the code 16 times.
\xFF\xFF\xFF\xFF\xFF\xFF\xmy\xIP\xad\xre\xss\x00\xmy\xIP\xad\xre\xss\x00\xmy\xIP\xad\xre\xss\x00\xmy\xIP\xad\xre\xss\x00\xmy\xIP\xad\xre\xss\x00\xmy\xIP\xad\xre\xss\x00\xmy\xIP\xad\xre\xss\x00\xmy\xIP\xad\xre\xss\x00\xmy\xIP\xad\xre\xss\x00\xmy\xIP\xad\xre\xss\x00\xmy\xIP\xad\xre\xss\x00\xmy\xIP\xad\xre\xss\x00\xmy\xIP\xad\xre\xss\x00\xmy\xIP\xad\xre\xss\x00\xmy\xIP\xad\xre\xss\x00\xmy\xIP\xad\xre\xss\x00

I try to Set the IP Adress of my HTPC (192.168.0.10) and 192.168.0.255
UDP, port 7 or 9 and delete the command suffix.

On my mac i have the tool "Wakeonlan", it works very well.

First of all, ensure that the code you are sending from the app is correct: try sending to a TCP Server tool (eg Hercules running on your PC) instead of to the broadcast network address. This will tell you whether a) the command is correct and b) whether the delay is caused by the app, or your HTPC/Network

You should not send the command to the IP address of your HTPC - as while it is powered down that IP address would not be available - you need to send to the broadcast IP address.

If you still have difficulty, please send in your project .pad file to [email protected] for assistance
