Hi, I am trying to modify the set1 4 room Ipad demo, I was looking to edit the merged page but cannot find how to edit it. If I look in the manual it says there is a tab called Merged page properties but I do not see this one. I am using the latest designer.
I also would like to know if there is a reason all the demos include merged pages but yet the documentation warns against using merged pages, what do they actually do?

Any sample projects which use merged pages are old - if you use the latest software & choose a template from the start menu, they all use subpages.
To edit a merged page, you simply edit the page itself directly, not from within the host page.

thanks for the prompt reply, but I don't understand! I have the latest designer downloaded today, if I open a new template and select any of them the projects still have merged pages. In fact if I create a new one from scratch and add a page I still get a "merged page"!
perhaps if I tell you what I want to do you can tell me why I cannot find it to edit it. On the project called set1iPhone there is a page that says "turn the iphone" where do I find this text? I also want to edit the bottom black bar on the horizontal zone page and make it bigger but cannot find this as it is in every zone page - hence I assume it is in the merged page.
Also perhaps you could say how to edit the merged page as you said in your post "you simply edit the page itself" but I have no options to edit and the manual refers to merged page properties which I dont see.

Ok - if you downloaded Set1 graphics recently, the Set1iPhone project has some text 'PLEASE ROTATE' - this is just on the Main Page in portrait, not on a subpage. To cycle through objects on a page, right click each one - this will send it to the back.
There are no merged pages in Set1iPhone. If you open up all the project folders, 'normal' pages have a white icon, sub-pages have a yellow icon, both on top of an open folder icon. 'Home Page' and 'Main Page' are the only 'normal' pages in the project.
There might be some confusion over what is a sub, and merged page. A subpage is a smaller page area, dragged on to a host page. A merged page is when you join two normal pages together.
