Help please - pioneer receiver power

Post by ChrisB75 » Tue Mar 12, 2013 12:33 pm

If anyone could help it would be much appreciated as this is driving me mad!? I recently bought Demopad which is great (although still waiting for the real time clock hint hint) and I'm using it with a Global Cache WIFI2IR. I've used the GC to learn all but one command which is the problem - I cannot get it to work with the power on/off on my Pioneer receiver VSX-S300. I've tried relearning it over and over and sending the command direct from the GC - the light on port 3 (using the IR blaster) lights but nothing happens. Demopad sent me all the codes they have for Pioneer receiver (thanks :) ) but none worked. I'd been using the L5 with an ipod before I got Demopad and the same learned command works fine on that. I've also tried the new online feature in the latest Demopad software upgrade but it doesn't have my codeset (which I think is 4019 - the last 4 digits of the other learnt commands for the receiver). Please help...

It sounds like you just need to put a repeat value in the command. When you learn it in iLearn - do you get several 'lines' of numbers? iLearn by default strips them out when you click save, thinking they are just repeats (which they usually are), but for some commands the repeat is required. If the repeated lines are the same as the first line, then just alter the repeat parameter to match the number of lines you see when you learn the command.

Thanks ever so much. it worked! It wasn't the 'repeat' but 'gaps', once I changed this to equal the number of lines displayed when the command was learnt on the iTach, it worked :D
