Ip2ir - multiple emitters per channel - serial or parallel?

Post by petrolhead » Tue Mar 12, 2013 2:13 am

How is the driver in the ip2ir configured? Constant voltage or constant current? Do I need to wire the emitters in serial or parallel? How many emitters can each channel drive? I'm looking to add more of my home onto demopad so 4 tvs, 2 sky boxes and an hdmi matrix, although I could share a sky box emitter with a tv emitter by using a sky magic eye at the tv next to the emitter.

From Global Cache support:
It is possible to use dual emitters, but we do not sell them so they will need to be purchased separately. You must use the non-blinking emitters to make up for the current loss. They will be in parallel in this configuration. I have linked a popular model that works well with our products below. Please let us know if you have any further questions.
