I am trying to shutdown my Windows 10 HTPC from Demopad. I can turn it on using the MAC address. Can I also turn it off using the MAC address?
It will accept IR commands using an old HP IR Receiver. A command to set up a shutdown button within win 10, I’ve used with my mouse after the button has been set up within Win 10 is “%windir%\System32\shutdown.exe /s /t 0”. That doesn’t work when assigning it to a Demopad button. Not surprising as I’m sure it’s just to simple. Anyone have any ideas.
I also tried a shutdown command I found in a PC forum using the IP address of my HTPC (set up another device within DP) but that didn’t work ether.
Thanks.

Re: Shutdown Widows 10 HTPC
I suggest you try EventGhost. It provides extensive control of a PC and getting it to work with Demopad was pretty easy.
