Re: Anyone tried a cheap Ethernet / IP to rs232 boxe?
Thanks
I ordered two from your link.
Is there any complicated setup for it to work with demopad or is it a case of adding the IP and port and it just works.
Thanks again for the advice

Any cheaper options than Rako For Lighting
I would love Rako lighting but far to expensive for my budget just yet. Any thoughts on LightwaveRF or Z-Wave etc for controlling lighting via DemoPad ? The lightwaveRF does look nice and cheap but no two way control/feedback. Also adding a Heating system is on the cards too. Something where ti work...

I want to use it with DemoPad on my Ipad2. I have Cat5e running to most of my house and Wifi on 5ghz if that helps. Would also like most ...

Re: lighting

Only downside, it doesnt have feed back but if your in the room you can see if the light is on :) Hi, What does the comma...

Can the Epson TW6000 be IP controled?
Hi just wondering if the TW6000 can or not be controlled via IP Network instead of the inbuilt RS232 port. I only ask as there is a Cat5/network port used for the external IR blaster. So maybe just maybe it is possible

Re: Sonos Commands
I think Sonos only allow a very limited amount of control but if you do find out if this is possible or not do sharedansonamission wrote:Is there any feedback for a sonos zone, such as the volume?

DemoPad wrote:port 1400, command suffix \x0D\x0A, don't tick UDP, click 'disconnect after each command'. The IP address you specify is the one to which commands are sent, so if you have 2 zones, you'll need 2 devices.
It works! many thanks. soooo much easier when someone tells you how to do it
