How cool would it be to use a Raspberry Pi and the official RPi Touchscreen for a $95 touch panel that could easily be mounted in the wall as a permanent touch panel? How hard would it be to port the Centro-Control app to something like Raspbian or other RPi compatible distros?

IFTTT has a new maker channel now that you could use as long as your heating system can also use IFTTT. I'm not sure about the A/V amps..
